19세기 箚記體 筆記의 글쓰기 양상­智水拈筆을 통해 본 지식의 생성과 유통

Abstract

Jisuyompil(智水拈筆) of Hong, Han‐ju(洪翰周) applied a form of ‘Chagiche’ writing. Chagiche is a commonly seen writing strategy in essays and collection of books of 18‐19c and is more than just a simple book report. The characteristic of chagiche writing is clearly shown in contents and critical reply of Jisuyompil. Jisuyompil is based on Hong, Han‐ju’s abundant knowledge and intelligence and his reading. The book shows his family’s academic heritage and the academic tradition of nobility in flourishing capital(京華世族). Jisuyompil shows enough of Hong, Han‐ju’s academic cognition and depth such as awareness of world’s current stream, broadened critical view beyond Chosun and raising an important controversy of literature history. Also his critical statement shows creation of new knowledge and information. In the aspect that this creation of new knowledge and information depended on Hong’s collecting and reading books, the creation is in a way in the circulation of knowledge. This aura of creation and circulation of knowledge is one of the characteristics of Chagiche writing. Also, by reproducing and circulating knowledge in Chagiche writing for 19c academic culture, Jisuyompil had contributed to dismantling the exclusive knowledge and information possession of specific class. Also, Jisuyompil had helped to dissolute contemporary principle and value regardless of writer’s intention or view.
