Abstract

The Kongju Kyeryong-san mountain(鷄龍山) became known as the representative special mountain from Baekje period of our country widely. The Kyeryong-san until today is taken charge of special function the spirit center of the central part area. From history the relief of the Kyeryong-san is included from 5 century the late period of Baekje a capital movement in Kongju. The Kyeryong-san in spite of took charge of the culture function which is special continuously even in history conditional change after that and it came. The Kyeryong-san after that is changed according to historic condition. In spite of the Kyeryong-san is taken charge of the special culture function continuously. The Kyeryong-san as the national a religious service location is continued of the mountain and stream belief of the kind within traditional belief. But it calmed the former Baekje residents which maintained in political calculation of the government according to system. The Joongakdan(中嶽壇) in the Sinwonsa temple(新元寺) corresponds rightly. The Kyeryong-san was located in the kingdom area and this geographical condition had a big effect in Buddhism culture development. The several temples crowded the Kyeryong-san of the center. The relief of the Kyeryong-san which relates with the traditional geographical theory, Pungsu(風水) which is designated new captital of the Chosun Dynasty appeared specially more deeply from the political side. Desire of the populaces which desired eagerly a new time from at the end of the Chosun Dynasty was set the Kyeryong-san of future the politic and religion central space.
