Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the new professional jobs related to agricultural service in Korea. This study was conducted through an extensive review of literature related to agricultural jobs and receiving advice of the expert panels in several times. The result of this study were as follows. 1) 23 new professional jobs were identified in horticulture service, that included floral designer, floral coordinator, party planer, florist, green interior coordinator, aromatherapist, plant therapist, plant manager, plant hospital worker, environment manager, golf course expert, ecological garden manager, horticultural therapist, horticultural product quality manager, culture fluid system manager, flower auctioneer, consultant in horticultural, etc. 2) 12 new professional jobs were identified in landscape architecture, that included landscape designer, landscape construction manager, indoor garden designer, golf course designer, tree surgeon, environment expounder, ecology restoration technician, landscape manager, consultant in landscape, etc. 3) 15 new professional jobs were identified in animal resource science, that included animal trainer, animal nurse, Canine beautician, pet manager, experimental animal manager, Racehorse trainer, animal sanitary & epidemic control manager, meat inspector, meat handling skilled worker, etc.
