이 연구는 고등학생들의 직업포부 수준과 관련하여 개인변인 효과와 학교변인 효과를 구명하는 데 그 목적이 있었다. 특성화고 학생의 사회경제적 배경요인을 분석하기 위해 최동선, 정원호, 박동열, 이종범(2011)의 연구에서 수집한 자료를 활용하였으며, SPSS for Windows 18.0 프로그램과 HLM 6.0 for Windows 프로그램을 이용하여 위계적 선형분석을 실시하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성별, 가족구조 등의 변인이 직업포부 수준에 미치는 영향력은 유의미하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 직업포부 수준에서 나타나는 학생 간의 차이는 주로 가정변인에서 기인하는 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 아버지의 교육 수준, 가정의 교육자원 수준, 가정의 경제적 수준 인식이 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 학교변인의 경우에는 기대만큼의 큰 효과를 나타내지는 못하는 것으로 분석되었으나, 학교계열이 미치는 효과는 매우 유의미하게 나타났다. 아울러 학교의 위치 또한 직업포부 수준에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 고등학생이 경제적·사회적으로 어느 정도 수준의 직업을 희망하느냐는 학교교육의 유용성과 중도탈락률 수준에도 일정 부분 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze of individual and school effect on occupational aspirations level of high school students. The data collected from Choi et al. (2011) were analyzed. As for data analysis, SPSS for Windows 18.0 program and HLM 6.0 for Windows program were used to conduct analyses of technical statistics and the hierarchical linear model(HLM). The results were as follows: First, gender differences, family structures were not related to occupational aspirations level of high school students. Second, occupational aspirations gap of students is mostly based on the family background, especially father’s education level, home educational resources, and perceived wealth level. Third, the type of school affects occupational aspirations of students quite a bit, however the others not much as expectation. In other words, vocational high school students were beneath general high school students in occupational aspirations. This result shows educational track of vocational high school make students turn their aspirations down. The position of school also affect occupational aspirations. Fourth, occupational aspirations related to economic, and social perspective depends on the school education’s value and student wastage rates.
