Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the structural relationship among commitment to change, principal's transformational leadership, communication and self-efficacy of meister school teachers. All of the latent variables were measured by 2~4 measured variables. Commitment to change was measured by personal goal, capacity beliefs, context beliefs, and emotional arousal process. Principal's transformational leadership was measured by humanity, initiative, leading change. Communication was measured by formal communication and informal communication. Self-efficacy was measured by facilitating learning teaching activity and teaching management. The population used for this study consisted of meister school teachers. 371 out of 400 questionnaires were returned, of which 359 were used for analysis after data cleaning. The major finding of this study were as follows: ⓛ Fit index of hypothetical model generally met standards in this study. Based on the this result, a hypothetical model was judged appropriately. ② Principal's transformational leadership, communication and self-efficacy had a positive effect on commitment to change of meister school teachers. Specially principal's transformational leadership had a strongest positive effect on commitment to change of meister school teachers. This result means that principal's competency or role is important to meister school reform. ③ Principal's transformational leadership had a positive effect on communication and communication had a positive effect on self-efficacy. However Principal's transformational leadership didn't have a direct effect, but had a indirect effect on self-efficacy. This result means that communication or interaction is important to meister school reform.
