초록

본 연구는 알코올 사용과 스트레스의 상관성을 알아보기 위하여 수행되었다. 이 연구를 위해서 2000년부터 2004년 까지 강원도 강릉시에 거주하는 20세 이상 성인남녀 2,565 명을 설문 조사하였으며 이 중 음주를 한다고 응답한 1,261 명을 연구 대상으로 하였다. 다중회귀분석 결과 사회 음주 군에서는 성별이 남자일수록(p<0.001), 나이가 적을수록 (p=0.02) AUDIT 점수가 증가하였으며, 문제 음주군에 서는 GARS 점수가 증가할수록(p=0.02) AUDIT 점수 가 증가하였다. 본 연구결과 문제 음주군에서 알코올 사 용과 스트레스는 양의 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났고, 스트레스의 적절한 관리가 향후 알코올 중독의 예방이나 치 료에 관한 방향을 정하는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 생 각된다.

Abstract

Objectives：This study was designed to assess the relationship between alcohol use and stress. Methods：The study subjects were 1,261 people who drink among the 2,565 people who lived in Gangneung. We investigated the sociodemographic characteristics, Short Form-12 (SF-12), Global Assessment of Recent Stress (GARS) and Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test (AUDIT). Results：In Problem drinking group the GARS was significantly positively associated with the AUDIT (p=0.02). In Social drinking group sex (p<0.001) and age (p=0.02) is significantly associated with the AUDIT. Conclusion：This study showed the significantly positively association between stress and alcohol use. We think that the intervention and active management of the stress can prevent the alcohol problem. (J Korean Neuropsychiatr Assoc 2006;45 (4):343-348)
