한국 코로나바이러스감염증-19 환자의 특성과 경과; 국가 데이터베이스의 분석

2019년부터 시작된 코로나바이러스감염증-19 (코로나19)의 대유행은 여전히 전 세계적인 건강 문제이다. 한국에서는 2020년 1월 첫 환자 발생 이후로 2021년 5월 현재까지 약 13만 명의 환자와 이 중 1,900여 명의 사망자가 발생하였다. 코로나19의 사망률은 전 세계적으로 2.1% 정도로 추산되고 있으나 한국에서는 1.4% 정도로 낮은 수치를 보여주고 있다. 전 세계적으로 유행 양상과 규모가 다를 뿐 아니라 환자들의 인구학적 특징과 임상 양상과 중증도, 예후의 차이를 보이는데 이는 각 나라와 지역별 방역, 보건체계와 의료자원, 발생 빈도 및 집단발병 등 여러 요인의 영향을 받는 것으로 이해되고 있다.
