Abstract
This study was to investigate the undergraduates values of cosmetic surgery, which is the prevalentsocial phenomenon in our society, by examining the relations between their cosmetic surgery behaviorand appearance concern, body cathexis, and self-esteem.There was weak positive relations between the degree of appearance concern and cosmetic surgerybehavior.There were no significant relations between body cathexis and cosmetic surgery behavior andbetween self-esteem and cosmetic surgery behavior.It was found that cosmetic surgery behavior was obviously different by gender. There were differencesin cosmetic surgery behavior according to grades, too.
