초록

Digital transformation in the fashion industry is reshaping the value chain into a data-driven, circular ecosystem, leading to a fundamental restructuring of job roles. This study analyzes the specific patterns of these changes at each stage of the value chain and to identifies the characteristics and competencies required for newly emerging jobs. The value chain is divided into five stages, and its transformations are examined through literature, case studies, and job postings. The findings reveal systemic shifts across the value chain, including 'data-driven creativity' in design stage, smart factories in production, and AI-powered marketing and reverse logistics in the marketing and circularity stages. As a result of these changes, new job roles such as data scientists, supply chain managers, and retail tech managers are emerging. This study makes a significant academic contribution by addressing the limitations of prior research providing an integrated analysis of the value chain's structural changes and job restructuring, from an empirical, micro-level perspective. Additionally, by reinterpreting the results of digital transformation through a sustainability lens, it presents comprehensive framework encompassing four dimensions that extend beyond traditional ESG discussions: environmental, economic, social-organizational, and technology-based. This approach offers critical strategic implications for the fashion industry's transition toward a sustainable digital future.
