SNS (Social Network Service) 사이트 웹 접근성 수행 충실도가 이용률에 미치는 영향

Abstract

Through an evaluation of the web accessibility by examining whether SNS, an on line-established personal connection formation service, provides proper interfaces for specific groups, especially senior generations to participate in information activities, this study investigated if the performance fidelity of web accessibility is related to the availability ratio. To investigate whether web accessibility evaluation tools and the observance of guidelines are actually related to a specific group’s availability, this study selected 4 SNS sites with a high availability ratio, especially for senior-generation users. As a result of evaluating the Web Accessibility Guideline 1.0 and the Accessibility Guideline of WCAG, it was found that me2day, Twitter, Facebook and Cyworld show high observance rates on average for 4 principles in order. As a result of carrying out a survey, it was found that Facebook, Twitter, Cyworld and me2day show high availability ratios in order among the four SNS sites, which indicates there is difference between web accessibility and actual availability ratios. However, it is interpreted that the different service formation of the 4 SNS sites leads to the different observance rate of web accessibility, although they have the same basic services. Overall, it was found that senior generations’ availability ratio of SNS sites is related to web accessibility. However, there is still difference found between the weight of the Accessibility Guideline of WCAG and the weight of actual users. This finding indicates that the importance of accessibility varies depending on specific user groups. Consequently, this finding implies that it is needed to carry out operations, which can evaluate and score each item, by developing user-oriented items and the order of priority and weight of all the items.
