전통 누비의 조형적 특성을 적용한 의상 소재 연구

본 연구는 전통 누비의 조형미를 분석하고 독창적인 섬유소재개발로 현대적인 의류소재, 패션상품과의 접목 가능성을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구자는 첫째, 전통누비가 갖는 가치 중 실용적 가치와 심미적 가치를 고찰하였다. 둘째, 전통복식의 누비기법에 의해 나타나는 조형성은 단지 의복을 구성하는 직물로서가 아닌 아름다움과 우아함을 표출하기 위한 표면효과를 나타내고자 한 소재로서 매우 우수한 기법이다. 이에 누비의 형태구성에 나타난 미적 특성을 누비선의 밀도 변화에 의한 조화, 대칭에 의한 균형미, 누비선의 방향의 회전에 의한 변화를 전통 누비 복식과 생활용품을 고증하여 분석하였다. 셋째, 누비는 평면적인 단조로운 직물위에 새로운 입체적인 형태를 창출해 낸다는 점에서 패션 소재에 다양한 창조적 가능성을 제시하고 있다. 사용된 직물의 조직과 두께 등과 사용된 실의 소재와 색채 등에 의해 소재 표면에 색다른 질감 표현을 살릴 수 있는 기법이다. 누비기법을 기반으로 복합소재의 혼용은 보다 더 독창적이고 창의적인 소재개발로의 가능성을 실질적으로 제시하고 있다. 전통미를 기반으로 한 한국의 정체성을 널리 알리고 섬유패션 산업의 경쟁력을 확보하기 위하여도 누비의 미적특성을 활용한 소재개발의 분야는 앞으로도 더욱 관심을 갖고 연구되어야 할 가치가 있다.
Abstract
Development of Korean 'Nubi' material with unique traditional beauty can suggest the possibility of combination with modern fabric and fashion products. First, I considered practical value and aesthetic value of Korean traditional 'Nubi' out of its material values. Second, figurativeness shown by quilt form of Korean traditional clothing is a very excellent technique with materials to represent the effect on the surface to express beauty and elegance, not just as a part of fabric for clothing. Therefore, I studied historical evidence of Korean traditional clothing and household goods and analyzed its characteristics in terms of beauty shown in the 'Nubi' pattern such as harmony by density change of Korean 'Nubi' lines, balancing beauty by symmetry, and change by rotating direction of Korean 'Nubi' lines. Third, Korean 'Nubi' suggests possibilities of creating various fashion materials in that it creates new cubic form on flat and monotonous fabric. It is a technique to create unique expression of texture by the thickness and texture of the fabric used and material and color of thread used. Mixed use of combined materials based on Korean 'Nubi' technique practically presents the possibility of more unique and creative material development. It is worth paying more attention and conducting researches in the field of material development utilizing the aesthetic quality of Korean 'Nubi' to widely inform Korea's identity based on traditional beauty and to secure competitiveness in textile fashion industry.
