한국형 갈등관리 유형의 탐색과 매체이용 차이에 관한 연구

사회가 다원화됨에 따라서 갈등의 경험과 그것의 생산적 관리는 개인 간 차원뿐만 아니라 사회적 차원에서도 관심이 높아지고 있다. 본 연구자는 지금까지 외국의 갈등관리 유형을 차용한 것에서 탈피하여 한국형 갈등관리 유형을 조사하고, 그 유형에 따른 대인 커뮤니케이션 매체의 이용차이를 분석하였다. 실제 갈등상황에서 사용하는 언어의 요인을 분석하고, 그 요인값을 기준으로 우리나라 사람들의 갈등관리 유형을 조사한 결과, 협력관리형, 방임체념형, 순응타협형, 경쟁논리형이 도출되었다. 이들의 대인 커뮤니케이션 매체의 이용시간을 분석한 결과, 방임체념형과 순응타협형은 대인 미디어의 이용시간이 상대적으로 적어서 커뮤니케이션을 이용한 갈등관리에 매우 소극적인 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 협력관리형과 경쟁논리형은 대인 커뮤니케이션 매체의 이용시간이 상대적으로 많아서 갈등의 관리를 위해서 다양한 대인 미디어를 이용하고 있음을 알 수 있었다.
Abstract
As society becomes more complicated and diversified, conflict experience and managing conflict attract more attention from society as well as personal level. This study tried to establish unique conflict management types in Korea and investigated media using time by each conflict management type. By investigating the extracted factors in language used to control real conflict situations, four types of conflict management were suggested; a collaborative management type, a permissive resignation type, an accommodative compromise type, a competitive logic type. According to the analysis, respondents who belong to the permissive resignation and accommodative compromise type used media relatively less. They seemed to be rather passive in managing their conflict situations. Compared to these types, respondents who belong to a competitive logic type have a relatively high media using time. They seemed to use various interpersonal media to manage their conflict situations.
