Abstract
Hong-Mei Lee. 2009. The semantic, grammatical, and pragmatic contrast of the adverbs ‘자칫’ and ‘하마터면’. Jornal of the International Network for Korean Language and Culture. Vol.6-1. 97-117. Based on a Korean 21stcentury Sejong Program corpus, this study sets out to investigate the semantic prosody of modal adverbs. Furthermore, it gives a detailed contrast and analysis of their grammatical and pragmatic features by means of description of the cohesion between adverb and predicate as well as the internal structural relations within sentence patterns.
