‘카이로스’(kairos)의 시간 개념과 목회상담에의 적용에 대한 연구:요한복음 4:1-30을 중심으로

이 논문의 목적은 시간의 개념들을 설명하면서 제 3의 시간으로써 ‘카이로 스’의 시간 개념을 소개하고, 그것을 목회상담에 적용시켜 보는 것이다. 일 반적으로 시간을 양적 시간과 질적 시간으로 구분하는데, 양적 시간은 세계 적 과학자인 뉴턴의 이름을 활용하여 Newton time이라고 명명하고, 질적 시 간은 국제적 철학자인 프랑스의 베르그송의 이름에서 Bergson time이라 명명 (命名)하기도 한다. 이 논문이 기존의 시간 개념의 이해와 다른 점은 과학자들과 철학자들이 주 장해 왔던 시간과 다른 제 3의 시간 개념으로써 신학적 차원의 시간을 연구 한다는 것이다. 그 시간은 바로 ‘카이로스 ‘로써의 시간이고 연구자는 이 시 간을 Jesus’ time 또는 Paul’s time이라고 명명하였다. 이 논문의 연구방법은 문헌연구를 중심으로 한다. 세계적 철학자인 Kant는 시간에 대하여 정의할 때, “시간은 지각할 수 있는 직관의 순수한 형태”라고 주장하였다. 시간은 생활 속에서 우리가 지각하며 살아가지만, 사람의 육안 으로 볼 수 있는 물질은 아니다. 이 논문의 독창성은 과학자나 철학자들이 인식하는 시간관과 다른 차원의 시간관으로써 신학자의 입장에서 제3의 시간관을 연구했다는 것이다. 그리 고 공헌점은 시간에 대한 이론적 이해만을 다룬 것이 아니라, 구체적으로 생 활 속에서 실천 가능한 프로그램들을 다수 소개함으로써, 시간을 ‘카이로스’ 의 차원으로 끌어올릴 수 있는 방향을 제시하였고, 자료들을 제공함으로써 실제적 측면을 보완했다는 점이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this academic study is to introduce ‘kairos’ as the third concept of time and apply the concept to pastoral counseling. Generally time is divided between quantitative time and qualitative time. We call the former as Newton time and the latter as Bergson time. The difference between this study and other studies is that the researcher presents the third concept of time in theological viewpoint in relation to physics and philosophy. The concept of time is ‘kairos’ and the researcher call it Jesus’ time or Paul’s time. The study method of this academic paper is based on reference books. Kant, a famous philosopher, said that time was a pure form of sensible intuition. Even though we spend and feel time, time is not a material that we can see with our eyes. The characteristic of Kairos is that it has to do with a definite point of time which has a fixed content. In the New Testament with reference to redemptive history, ‘kairos’ is a point of time that has a special place in the execution of God’s plan of salvation. The originality of this study is to introduce the third concept of time in the theological standpoint in contrast with the viewpoint of physics and philosophy. Also, the contribution of this research is to present various pro- grams concerning time that participator can practically experience in the realm of life.
