Abstract
Holistic Education is not only to harmonize body, soul, and spirit but also to harmonize one’s ego, internal accord, and ego and the world (society, mankind, and environment). Steiner is mentioning the features of Human Development for accomplishment of human as Holistic existence. Steiner is setting ‘7 years’ as a standard of Human Development. First stage is from 0–7 years old. This stage is where body, soul, and spirit are not yet differentiated and where sense is most developed. Based on this sense emotion and sensibility improves. Second stage is from 7–14 years old. In this stage, body, soul and spirit start to divide and the soul, especially those related to feelings, develops the most. Third stage is from 14–21 years old. In this stage 14–21 year-old person passing puberty body, soul and spirit differentiate more elaborately and abstract thinking develops the most. So Steiner says this stage is ‘nature of liberal ego’ where it advances toward absolute spirit. ‘Nature of liberal ego’ implies subjective discovery of humanity, meaning Holistic existence which self and the universe unify. The features of Steiner’s physical education are regarded possible to be practiced in daily routines and this carry out represents the act as Holistic Human which unified the nature and the universe, and human and the society.
