종교개혁의 정신 그리고 4차 산업혁명시대를 살아가는 교회의 과제

본문은 4차 산업혁명이라는 이름의 기술중심사회의 도전에 직면한 한국교회의 미래과제에 대해 다루고 있다. 한국교회의 앞날에 급격한 기술발전 속에 전개되고 있는 문화는 빠른 속도로 진행되는 세속주의의 흐름과 함께 도전을 제기할 것으로 예상된다. 본문은 이러한 기술문명이 가지고 오는 도전을 살펴보며 21세기 기술문명시대의 도전 속에서 교회가 유일한 대안의 장소일 수 밖에 없다는 것에 대해 주장하고 있다. 본문은 첫째 종교개혁의 교회가 어떤 초점을 가지고 있었는가를 살펴보면서 오늘날 교회의 과제를 설정하고 있다. 둘째, “교회, 변함없는 세상의 유일한 희망인가”라는 질문과 함께 현대 기술문명이 제기하는 도전에 대해 살펴보고 있다. 셋째, 세상의 희망으로서의 교회가 어떤 역할을 수행해야 하는가에 대해서 논하고 있다. 회는 ‘기독교적 휴머니즘’으로 무장한 문화 창달자로서의 사람들을 양성해 내는 사역을 계속해야 한다. 종교개혁은 변화되는 세상의 한 가운데에서 교회 스스로가 능동적인 변혁주체로 나타나는 과정이었다는 사실을 염두에 두면서 문명의 발전을 하나님나라를 향한 인간의 길 안에서 받아들이고 성취해낼 수 있도록 세상에서 빛과 소금으로서의 역할을 감당해 나가는데 21세기 교회에 위탁된 과제가 있음을 주장하고 있다.
Abstract
This study looks at the challenges and tasks of Korean church at the advent of technology-centric society in the name of the 4th industrial revolution. With technology advancing at a stunning rate, the technology-centered culture of the present time along with rapidly spreading secularism presents serious questions and challenges to the church. This article maintains that the church is destined to become the only place where the solutions for the issues of the technology-centric secular society of the 21st century can be found. First, for the purpose of identifying tasks for the churches of our time, this study examines what the churches of the Reformation era focused on in their struggle. Secondly, it looks at the challenges from the technology-centered society with the question, “Could Church still give hopes for the world as always?” Thirdly, it talks about the role of the church as a hope for the current civilization, based on Calvinistic scheme of three duties of Christ (munus triplex christi). It concludes that the church should be raising agents of Christian humanism. Noting that the Reformation was church’s emergence as an active agent of change in the middle of the changing society, the 21st century church is to work as an active participant in the advancement of the civilization so that its path is in accord with what God intends for men.
