「鏤板考」수록도서의 질적 수준에 관한 연구

본 논문은 풍석 서유구 등이 정조 20년(1796)에 편찬한 분류순 전국책판목록인 鏤板考에 수록된 각 서적의 해제 내용을 토대로 하여 서적의 질적 수준에 대해 살펴본 것이다. 먼저 누판고에 수록된 서적의 수준 평가를 유형별로 살펴보고, 이를 현대 문헌정보학에서 제시하는 장서평가기준과 비교하였다. 여기에 수록된 도서의 질적 수준은 당시의 시대적인 상황과 목록의 성격을 감안해도, 현대의 양서(良書)의 평가기준을 훨씬 상회하는 훌륭한 책들이라 할 수 있다.
Abstract
The writer investigated the academic values of the titles based upon book annotations included in Nupango, or An Annotated Classification of Union Catalog of Printing Blocks, which was published by Pungseok Seo Yu-gu's in 1796. This paper examined various types of evaluative methods adopted in Nupango, and then compare them to the modern general library criteria of book selection. Analyzing the nature of the catalog and the particular historical situation, the academic qualities of books listed in Nupango are even more excellent than the modern criteria for good books.
