오운은 조선 중기(中宗 35～光海 9)에 활약한 인물로 이 시기에 있어서 주목해야할 도서편찬자이다.오운은 圃隱集의 교정을 하는 과정에서 원문의 오류를 수정하는데 있어서 치밀하고도 숙련된 솜씨를 보였으며, 체재의 구성이나 배열에 있어서도 확실한 주관을 갖고 있었다고 생각한다. 특히 편집의 체재, 구체적인 내용의 오자 교정 등에 관심을 집중하였다. 본고는 이러한 실상을 밝힘으로써 오운이 도서의 저술 및 편찬은 물론 교정에 있어서도 일가견이 있는 인물로서 조선 중기의 주목할 만한 도서 편찬자임을 규명하는데 그 목적이 있다.
Abstract
Ow-Un was a remarkable compiler of the middle years of the Chosun Dynasty (A.D. 1540～1617). In correcting the errors of the originals, he was very careful and diligent. He had his own ideas on the rearrangement or reconstruction of sentences. Especially, he concentrated his attention on the system of compiling and correcting of typos in the characters meaning. This article tries to prove he was good at writing and correcting and he was a good compiler of the middle years of the Chosun Dynasty.
