Abstract

The poetry world of Yi Yong-ak is divided into three periods: the pre-liberation period, the liberation period, and the North Korean regime period. This paper is focusing on the Yi Yong-ak’s attitude to treat the experience of life-world and studied its aesthetic effect and meaning from early poetry to the end of life. The early poetry of Yi Yong-ak was discussed in various concepts of compromise and synthesis, such as the combination of lyricism and narrative, and modernism and realism, which can be said to be the result of Yi Yong-ak's unique way of dealing with life experiences. It is not simply a realistic description of the object, but a detailed description of the phenomenon of consciousness according to the world's experience, which can be said to have the effect of maximizing communication and empathy as reality and consciousness coexist and object and subjectivity are balanced This attitude that was shown in the early period had been continued during the liberation period and the North Korean regime, so Yi Yong-ak delayed the ideology given a priori in each period and focused on faithfully dealing with life experiences instead. And in this process, Yi Yong-ak was facing historical reality and was transforming his own view of the world. It means this is the process of being reborn as a subject of Yi Yong-ak. And this is why Yi Yong-ak in the early days of the liberation period and the North Korean regime dealt with the life world from a neutral point of view, but he became increasingly ideological in his poetry. Although this may not fully explain the process of sympathizing with ideology, it is clear that Yi Yong-ak has dealt with life experiences before ideology. And it can be seen that Yi Yong-ak formed the orientation of his consciousness in it and made a change of consciousness.
