21세기 산업 사회가 되면서 환경 이슈가 중요하고, 이 문제를 해결하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 2015년 OECD PISA의 통계 자료를 기반으로 한국학생들이 OECD 국가들 중에서 물 부족, 식물과 동물의 멸종, 대기 중 온실 가스, 대기 오염은 상위권이고, 유전자 변형 생물체(GMO)의 사용은 중위권이고, 핵 폐기물, 삼림 및 기타 토지 이용의 훼손 결과는 하위권이다. 또한 20년 후에 개선될 것으로 희망하는 상위권이다. 이 환경 이슈들의 인식과 전망은 과학 성적과 상관관계가 있다는 것을 알았기 때문에, 앞으로 과학 교육을 잘 시키는 것이 중요하다.
Abstract
Environmental issues are important in the 21st century industrial society and it is very important to solve this problem. In this study, based on the OECD PISA statistics in 2015, Korean students are ranked among the top OECD countries in terms of water shortage, extinction of plants and animals, the increase of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and air pollution. The use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs), Nuclear waste, and the consequences of clearing forests\other land use are the bottom line. It is also a top level that we hope will improve in 20 years. The recognition and prospect of these environmental issues are correlated with scientific achievements, so it is important to make good science education in the future.
