본 연구의 목적은 장사거리 탄약 사격훈련을 위한 포병 사격장 입지조건을 분석하는데 있다. 이를 위해서 우리 군의 대표적인 사격장들을 선정하고 분석하여 능력과 제한사항을 도출해 보았다. 분석은 재래식 탄종 뿐만 아니라 현재 개발중인 신탄약을 고려하여 분석하였으며, 연구 결과 국내 내륙지역에 장사거리 사격이 가능한 포병 사격 훈련장을 건설하는 것은 현실적으로 매우 제한사항이 많다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이는 주민들의 반대와 사거리 공산오차에 의한 위험성, 그리고 막대한 비용과 주변 환경 및 생태계 파괴 등이 원인이 될 수 있는데, 본 연구에서는 이러한 다양한 제한사항에 대해 구체적으로 분석해보고, 이에 대한 또다른 대안으로 움직이는 항구나 잭업바지선을 활용한 해상 사격장을 제안해 본다.
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to analyze the conditions of a location of Artillery firing range. To this end, we selected several representative firing range and analyzed their capability and constraint. We considered not only the conventional ammunitions, but also state-of-art ammunitions such as a 155mm hybrid ammunition and new MLRS ammunition. Based on the analysis result, we could derive essential requirements for the long-distance fire range. Practically, there are so many limitations to construct an artillery firing range. This is attributed to the fact that many local residents object strenuously due to the potential hazard of artillery shell by the probable error in range, and enormous budget is necessary. Thus, we can arrive at a conclusion that it is virtually impossible to satisfy all requirements for the optimal firing range for the long-distance fire training. Instead, we propose alternative ways such as a naval firing range or mobile harbor type firing range by using Jack-up barges.
