본 연구에서는 초등학생의 발달적 특징을 고려한 진로지도를 구안하려면 어떤 내용으로 구성되어야 할 것인가에 관심을 가지고 초등학생의 진로발달 지표를 분석하고자 하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 초등학교 6학년 372명(남=192, 여=180)을 연구대상으로 자료를 수집한 후 요인분석, 평균차검증, 일원변량분석 및 Scheffe 사후검증, 이원변량분석을 하였고, 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등학생의 진로발달 지표에는 어떤 것들이 있는가를 알아보기 위하여 요인분석을 실시한 결과, 진로지향성, 자긍심 및 자기이해, 직업이해 등 세 개의 하위요인으로 나타났다. 둘째, 초등학생의 진로발달 지표의 하위변인들을 성별에 따라 그 차이를 알아본 결과, 여학생이 남학생보다 진로지향성과 직업이해 수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 초등학생의 진로발달 지표의 하위변인들을 학업성취수준에 따라 그 차이를 알아본 결과, 학업성취수준 상 집단에게서 진로지향성, 자긍심 및 자기이해, 직업이해 수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 초등학생의 진로발달 지표의 하위변인들을 부모의 학력수준에 따라 그 차이를 알아본 결과, 자긍심 및 자기이해에서 부모의 학력수준이 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 초등학생의 진로발달을 촉진하기 위한 진로지도는 진로지향성, 자긍심 및 자기이해, 직업이해를 그 내용으로 구성될 수 있으며, 더 나아가 성차, 학업성취수준, 부모학력수준 등과 같은 개인의 내·외적변인을 고려하여 차별화된 진로지도 내용으로 구성되어야 한다는 것 등에 대해 논의하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze of career development indices for career guidance of elementary school students. The research subjects were 372 elementary school students. The factor analysis, t-test, Oneway, ANOVA were employed to examine the research questions. The results of the study were as follows; (1) The career development indices for career guidance of elementary school students were three factors, career orientation, self-esteem and awareness, occupational knowledge. (2) The mean score of girl students was higher than boy students in career orientation and occupational knowledge. (3) The mean score of the high level group of an academic achievement was the highest in career orientation, self-esteem and awareness, occupational knowledge. (4) The academic background of parents effected to elementary school students' self-esteem and awareness.
