관광관련 전공 대학생들이 지각하는 영어학습동기가 학습몰입 및 학습만족에 미치는 영향
The Effect of Motivation of English Language Learning Perceived by College Students Majoring in Tourism Related Studies on Learning Engagement and Satisfaction

본 연구는 관광관련 전공을 하는 대학생들을 대상으로 영어학습동기가 학습몰입, 학습만족에 미치는 영향관계를 연구하였다. 분석결과 다음과 같은 결과가 도출되었다. 첫째, 학습동기 중 내재적 동기에 대해 높게 지각하면 학습몰입이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 우선적으로 학생들이 수업에 참여할 수 있도록 분위기를 만드는 것이 중요하다. 즉 학생들이 스스로 공부하고자 하는 의지를 가질 수 있도록 이에 맞은 학습 환경조성이 필요하다. 둘째, 학습동기 중 내재적 동기와 외재적 동기에 대해 높게 지각하면 학습만족이 높아지며, 특히 외재적 동기가 내재적 동기보다 학습만족에 더 많은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 학습만족을 높이기 위해서는 내재적 동기를 유발시키는 것도 중요하지만 외재적 동기를 높여주는 것이 더 중요하다고 볼 수 있다. 이를 위해 영어학습을 통해 성공적인 취업을 한 선배나 높은 영어점수 및 회화를 바탕으로 좋은 기업에 취업한 사례를 지속적으로 보여주는 것이 필요하다. 또한 학생들이 가고자 하는 기업들의 구직내용, 특히 어학과 관련된 필요 성적 등을 제공하고 이를 달성할 수 있도록 동기부여를 시켜야 할 것이다. 셋째, 학습몰입에 대해 높게 지각하면 학습만족이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 학습만족을 높이기 위해서는 학습몰입이 선행되어야 한다는 것이다. 이에 학습몰입을 높이기 위해 우선적으로 학생들은 어떤 상황과 어떤 조건의 학습상황에서 몰입을 경험하며 그리고 몰입 정도가 달라지는지를 밝혀내야 할 것이다.
Abstract
The present study was carried out for the objects of students majoring in tourism at a college concerning the influence of English education learning motivators on learning immersion and learning satisfaction. According to the analysis results, the following results have been derived. First, learning immersion was shown to be enhanced when the immanent motivator among education learning motivators was perceived high. Hence, the immanent motivator should be enhanced in students’ learning of English, for which purpose providing an atmosphere first is important so as to allow the students to participate in the class. Namely, the corresponding environment formation is necessary so that the students can have the intent to study themselves. Secondly, it has been observed that the learning satisfaction is increased if the immanent motivator and extrinsic motivator among the education learning motivators are perceived high. Hence, enhancement of extrinsic motivator can be considered more important to increase the learning satisfaction although inducement of immanent motivator is also important. For this purpose, the seniors who were successfully employed through English leaning or the cases of employment by good businesses based on high English scores and conversation need to be shown continuously. In addition, job search contents of the businesses desired by students, particularly required academic records related to language should be provided and motivation should be offered. Thirdly, the learning satisfaction was shown to be increased if the learning immersion was perceived high. Namely, an increase in the learning satisfaction should be preceded by the learning immersion. Thus, to enhance the learning immersion, in what situations and under what conditions the students experience immersion, and whether the extent of immersion is also different, i.e. the structure of immersion in learning situations needs to be clarified.
