‘전반적 영역의 사회불안’ 유형과 ‘발표 영역의 사회불안’ 유형의 비디오 피드백 효과 차이 검증

초록

본 연구는 자연발생적으로 구분된 사회불안의 하위 유형에 따라 비디오 피드백 치료 효과의 차이가 있는지를 알아보기 위하여 수행되었다. 자연발생적으로 구분된 사회불안인 ‘전반적 영역의 사회불안’ 유형과 ‘발표 영역의 사회불안’ 유형에 따라 비디오 피드백의 반응성을 살펴보기 위하여 비디오 피드백 전에 발표를 한 후, 그리고 비디오 피드백 개입 후 발표를 다시 한 후의 인지, 생리, 행동적 특성을 측정하였다. 이 특성들에서 차이가 있는지 알아보기 위하여 반복측정 분산분석(repeated measures ANOVAs)과 독립표본 t 검증을 실시하였다. 그 결과 두 유형 모두 유의한 치료적 효과를 보였으며 유형 간 치료적 반응성에서는 차이가 나지 않았다. 그러나 비디오 피드백 직후에는 ‘발표 영역의 사회불안’ 유형이 ‘전반적 영역의 사회불안’ 유형에 비해 높은 치료적 경향성을 보였다.

Abstract

The present study examined if the subtype of social anxiety affected outcome of video feedback for social anxiety. The social anxiety subtypes were ‘pervasive social anxiety’ and ‘dominant public speaking anxiety’ which were identified in empirical approach. Repeated measures ANOVAs and t- test were performed for the differences of two social anxiety subtypes in the cognitive, physiological, behavioral characteristics after video feedback. In the treatment responses, both subtypes showed the same degree of improvement after video feedback. It was, however, revealed that the individuals with ‘dominant public speaking anxiety’ improved moderately more than ‘Pervasive social anxiety’ right after the treatment. The implications of these findings for the classification and treatment of social anxiety individuals are discussed.
