본 연구는 대학생의 부모애착 및 성인애착의 관계에서 자아분화의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 수도권에 위치한 5개의 4년제 대학교에 재학 중인 남녀 대학생 388명이었으며, 부모애착척도, 자아분화척도, 성인애착척도를 사용하여 설문을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 상관분석 결과 부모애착은 자아분화와 유의한 정적상관이 있었고, 성인애착(불안, 회피)과는 부적상관을 나타냈다. 이는 부모애착이 잘 형성될수록 자아분화수준이 높고, 안정된 성인애착을 형성한다는 것을 시사한다. 둘째, 부모애착과 성인애착의 관계에서 자아분화의 매개효과가 어떠한지 알아본 결과, 자아분화가 부모애착과 성인애착의 관계를 완전 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 부모애착이 성인애착에 직접적인 영향을 미치기 보다는 자아분화를 통해 간접적으로 영향을 미친다는 것을 의미한다. 즉 부모애착이 안정적일수록 자아분화 수준이 높아지고, 높은 자아분화 수준은 다시 성인애착을 잘 형성하게 한다는 것이다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점 및 후속연구를 위한 제언에 대하여 논의하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of self-differentiation on the relationship between parent attachment and adult attachment. Survey for this study was conducted to 388 University students in Metropolitan Seoul with Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment-Revised(IPPA-R), Self-Differentiation Scale and Experiences in Close Relationships Scale-Revised(ECR-R). The results of this study were as follows: 1) parent attachment was positively correlated with self-differentiation. And adult attachment(anxiety and avoidance) was negatively correlated with parent attachment, self-differentiation. 2) the relationship analysis by Structural Equation Modeling demonstrated that self-differentiation was completely mediated the relation between parent attachment and adult attachment. Finally, the implications and limitations of this study were discussed.
