대학생이 지각한 어머니 양육태도와 정서명확성이 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향

초록

본 연구는 대학생이 지각한 어머니 양육태도(애정, 거부, 보호)와 정서명확성이 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 어머니 양육태도가 심리적 안녕감에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 정서명확성의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 대학생 502명을 대상으로 검증된 본 연구 결과는 첫째, 애정은 심리적 안녕감과 정적 상관을 지녀, 어머니의 양육태도를 애정적으로 지각할수록 심리적 안녕감은 높아지는 것으로 나타났으며, 거부와 보호는 각각 심리적 안녕감과 부적 상관을 지녀, 어머니의 양육태도를 거부적 보호적으로 각각 지각할수록 심리적 안녕감은 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니 정서명확성과 심리적 안녕감은 유의한 정적 상관을 가져, 정서명확성의 정도가 높을수록 심리적 안녕감이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 정서명확성은 애정 및 거부와 심리적 안녕감의 관계에서는 부분매개 효과를 가지나, 보호와 심리적 안녕감의 관계에서는 매개효과는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 어머니의 애정적 양육태도와 거부적 양육태도는 정서명확성을 거치지 않고 심리적 안녕감에 직접적으로 영향을 미치기도 하고, 정서명확성을 매개로 하여 심리적 안녕감에 간접적으로도 영향을 미친다는 것을 의미한다. 아울러 이러한 결과들에 대해 논의․시사하고 제한점을 제시하였다.

Abstract

This paper aims to examine the effects of perceived maternal attitudes(affection, rejection, protection) and emotional clarity on psychological well-being among 502 undergraduate students. Furthermore, this paper tested if emotional clarity would mediate the relations of maternal attitudes and psychological well-being. The EMBU, PWBS, and TMMS-C were used for rating. The major results are as follows. First, affection was significantly related to higher psychological well-being, but rejection or protection to lower psychological well-being. Second, emotional clarity was significantly related to higher psychological well-being. Third, there was no mediation effect of emotional clarity between protection and psychological well-being, while emotional clarity played partial mediator between affection (or rejection) and psychological well-being, Also, discussions and limitations were suggested.
