이 연구의 목적은 부모이혼을 경험한 여성의 결혼생활 어려움 극복 과정을 설명하는 실체이론을 개발하는 것이었다. 이를 위해 12명의 참여자들을 대상으로 심층면담을 실시하고, Strauss와 Corbin(1998)의 근거이론 방법을 적용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 개방 코딩을 통하여 106개의 개념과 42개의 하위범주, 18개의 범주가 도출되었다. 축 코딩 결과 중심현상은 ‘뿌리내리려 안간힘을 씀’으로 나타났다. 이에 영향을 미치는 인과적 조건은, ‘부족함이 채워질 것 같은 결혼에 대한 기대’, ‘이혼에 대한 양가감정’과 ‘좋은 가정을 이루고 싶은 강한 소망’이었으며, 맥락적 조건은 ‘부모이혼의 상처’, ‘삶의 긍정적 태도’였고, 중심현상은 ‘뿌리내리려 안간힘을 씀’으로 나타났다. 중재적 조건은 ‘사회적 지지’, ‘사회참여를 통한 활력’으로 나타났으며, 중심현상을 해결하기 위해 사용하는 작용/상호작용 전략은 ‘분노의 폭발’과 ‘이해 폭의 확장’, ‘정서의 변화’, ‘다가가기’로 나타났다. 작용/상호작용의 결과로는 ‘자신을 조절함’, ‘주도적으로 살기’, ‘마음의 안정’, ‘관계회복’, ‘미래에 대한 설계’로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 지속적으로 반복, 비교 분석하면 ‘중심잡기 단계’, ‘자리잡기 단계’, ‘뿌리내림 단계’, ‘뻗어가기 단계의 4단계로 설명할 수 있다. 이러한 경험의 핵심범주는 ‘흔들리는 뿌리를 내리고 주체적 삶을 살기’로 나타났다. 이 연구는 부모이혼을 경험한 여성이 결혼생활에서 무엇을 경험을 하는지, 그리고 어떤 상호작용으로 ‘흔들리는 뿌리를 내리고 주체적 삶을 살기’를 하는지를 확인할 수 있었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to identify the overcoming of married life difficulties in women with parental divorce experience and to present a substantive theory. To this end, in-depth interviews were conducted with 12 participants and analyzed using the ground theory method of Strauss and Corbin (1998). As a result of the research, 106 concepts, 42 subcategories, and 18 categories were derived from the open coding process. As a result of the axis coding, the central phenomenon was ‘struggling to take the root’, The causal conditions affecting this were ‘expectations of a marriage that is likely to be filled with scarcity, ‘ambivalence about divorce’ and ‘strong desire to have a good family’, and contextual conditions were ‘the scars of parental divorce,’ ‘positive attitude of life'. The meditative conditions were shown as, ‘social support’, ‘vitality through social participation’, and the action/interactions strategies to solve the central phenomenon were 'finding the centering the mind', ‘explosion of anger’, and ‘expansion of understanding’, ‘change of sentiment’ and ‘approaching’. The results of the action/interactions were ‘adjustment of oneself’, ‘living self-directed life’, ‘stabilization of mind’, ‘relationship recovery’ and ‘design for the future.’ This process can be described in four stages as a result of continuous iteration, comparison and analysis: ‘centralization phase’, 'settling phase’, ‘root down phase’ and ‘branching phase’ continuously repeated, compared and analyzed. A key category of this experience has emerged was ‘putting down swaying roots and living self-directed life.' The study was possible to identify what women who experienced parental divorce experience in their marriage and what interactions they use to ‘wavering roots lead a self-reliant life.’
