A Study on Flask Anaysis of Greenhouse Gases at the Background Atmosphere Stations of Korean Peninsula

Abstract
Rapid increase in concentrations of greenhouse gases since the industrial period has given rise to concern over their impact on climate changes. Among the several anthropogenic greenhouse gases, CO2 is recognized as the most important climate warming agent because of its huge estimated greenhouse forcing. In this study, a flask sampling system for analysing CO2 concentration was introduced. The accuracy and precision of the flask sampling system was 0.03% and ±0.08 ppmv, respectively, according to the quality test of the analyzing system using the sampled CO2 gas of 365.49±0.03 ppmv. Analyses of CO2 concentrations were also performed on the flask sampled data taken at four background regions (Gosan in Jeju island, Heuksan island, Anmyeon island, and Ulleng island), and compared with the continuous CO2 concentration data of Anmyeon island.
