정신지체아동의 사회적응능력을 향상시키기 위한 역할놀이 프로그램의 효과

본 연구는 역할놀이가 정신지체아동의 개인 및 사회적 요구, 부정적 사회적응능력, 개인적 사회적응능력에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 분석하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 대상은 경기도 M대학의 ‘06년도 장애아동 체육 교실’에 참여한 27명의 정신지체아동(정신지체 3급: 14명, 정신지체 2급: 13명)이다. 평균연령은 11.65세(SD=2.30)이었으며, 남자 17명과 여자 10명으로 구성되었다. 이 연구에서 시행되는 역할놀이의 기본구조는 <역할부여-역할참여-인터벤션-사후 강화>로 되어있다. 장애정도와 역할놀이 프로그램의 사전-사후 검증을 위하여 반복분산분석과 t-검증을 시행하였다. 또한, 주요인의 효과를 검증하기 위하여 사후검증(Tukey's Post Hoc)을 시행하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 놀이 상황에서 정신지체아동에게 주어지는 개개인의 역할이 사회성 향상을 가져온다는 객관적인 증거를 제시하고 있다. 특히, ‘개인 및 사회적인 요구’의 측정항목인 책임감, 협력, 인식, 그리고 상호작용에서 높은 교육효과를 얻을 수 있다는 결과가 나타났다.
Abstract
This was an experimental evaluation of role playing for children with mental retardation to improve social attitudes and personal behaviors. The 27 subjects were including 14 children with mild mental retardation and 13 children with moderate mental retardation were participated in the role playing program. Results indicated that differences of increment between children with mild mental retardation and children with moderate mental retardation in social skills such as 'responsibility', 'helping skills', and 'interpersonal skills' were statistically significant. Promoting positive factors of social skills such as 'responsibility', 'helping skills', and 'interpersonal skills' were more effective then promoting negative social skills likes 'bullying' and 'physical attack'. Therefore, the role playing program was effective for children with mental retardation to promote positive social behaviors.
