This paper deals with the thematic analysis on the Egyptian writer Yahya Haqqi(1905-1992)'s only novel "Sahh al-Naum" In the year 2005, the Arabic literature world, especially the Egyptian literature and UNESCO has refocused the Yahya Haqqi's writings in consideration with 100year's anniversary of his birth. In this regard, this paper is one of my participation from this phenomenon. In an attempt to reach its aim, this consists of three chapters. The first and last chapter is the main aim and the results of this paper and in the second chapter I try to check and analyze the novel thematically. The writer presents a kind of sketches of an southern Egyptian village and its inhabitants before and after the arrival of the train, i.e. the Egyptian's Revolution by Jamal Abd an-Nasser in 1952 and modernization. In spite of the benefits of modernization, the village has lost its gaiety and solidarity. A sharp conflict between reformists and conservatives always exists in any place. Yahya Haqqi's solution to this conflict and harmony is maybe applicable in similarity with Korea's present situation.
