Abstract
The purpose of this study was to survey Korean students' attitude toward technology. For the purpose of this study, the data was collected from 4,306 students from elementary to high school. The questionnaire is consisting of Likert-type scale to assess students' attitude toward technology. Principal analysis procedures included the calculation of descriptive and frequency statistics of the data by means of SPSSWin 14.0 Version. The results of this study were as follows; first, the gender of the students had a significant effect on attitude subscales. The reader is reminded that a higher scale value represents a more positive attitude. Boys had more positive attitudes than girls in the categories of 'Interest', 'Consequences', 'Curriculum', and 'Career Aspiration'. Second, those who have technical toys had more positive attitudes in the categories of 'Interest', 'Difficulties', and 'Consequences'. Third, those who have working space at home had more positive attitude in the category of 'Interest', 'Curriculum', and 'Career Aspiration'. Fourth, those who have connected internet of personal computer at home had more positive attitude in the category of 'Consequences'. Fifth, those who would choose a profession related to technology had more positive attitude in the category of 'Interest', 'Difficulties', 'Curriculum', and 'Career Aspiration'. Finally, to explore the interaction between boys' and girls' attitudes toward technology and each demographic, a two-way Analysis of Variance(ANOVA) was performed. Having a personal computer of connected internet was found interaction in the category of 'Consequences'.
