기존 페인팅 조각 작품 보존 연구는 페인트 층의 색상에 적합한 재료 및 방법을 위한개별적인 연구가 많이 진행되어왔다. 그러나 페인팅 작품의 보존처리 및 재도장과 관련하여명확한 기준은 존재하지 않았으며, 야외에서 열화가 지속되는 만큼 객관적인 보존관리를 위한평가방법이 요구되었다. 따라서 본 연구는 2가지 사례를 들어 원본 페인트 및 대체 페인트의물성을 비교 평가하여 보존처리 효과를 확인하였고, 해당 시편의 SEM-EDS 단면 관찰, 색도및 색차 비교, 부착력 및 부착강도 평가 그리고 염수분무 실험 결론을 바탕으로 상태조사표를작성하여 적용해 보았다. 추후 완성된 상태조사표를 적용하여 야외 및 공공미술 페인트 조각작품의 보존처리에 객관적인 자료가 될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
Abstract
A lot of individual research on materials and methods suitable for the color of the paintlayer has been conducted in the conservation of existing painted sculptures. However, there was noguidance standard for conservation treatment and repainting of painted sculptures, and an evaluationmethod for objective conservation management was required as deterioration continued in the outdoors. Therefore, in this study, the conservation treatment effect was confirmed by comparing and evaluatingthe physical properties of the original paint and the replacement paint by citing two cases. Based onthe survey items : SEM observation (a cross-section and surface defect) and local EDS analysis,comparison of chromaticity and color difference, evaluation of adhesion and adhesive bond strength,and a salt spray test, a condition status table was prepared and applied to the specimen. Based onthe results of applying the completed condition status table in the future, it is judged that it can bean objective data onto conservation treatment of outdoor painted sculptures and public artworks.
