백산 안희제 선생의 구국활동과 기업가정신에 관한 연구

백산 안희제 선생은 호국충절의 고향 의령에서 명문 사대부 가문에서 태어났다. 그의집안은 국가가 어려울 때 충절과 구국운동에 가장 앞장섰다. 그의 조상인 안기종 선생은임진왜란 당시 의병을 일으켜 큰 공을 세웠으며, 안희제와 그의 형제들은 구한말 일제의침략에 항거하여 다방면으로 독립운동에 앞장섰다. 안희제 선생은 상해임시정부의 독립자금을 마련하기 위하여 백산상회를 설립하였으며, 이를 더 확장하여 백산무역주식회사를설립하고 영남지역의 여러 부자들을 참여시켰다. 백산 선생은 교육의 중요성을 강조하여여러 교육단체를 만들어 민족교육을 통한 독립사상을 고취하려고 했다. 독립운동을 위한안희제의 노력은 동아일보, 중외일보 등을 통한 민족언론 활동과 항일운동으로 이어졌다. 또한 그는 민족 고유의 종교를 통해서도 민족정신을 고취하려고 했다. 백산 안희제 선생은 기업가, 교육가, 언론가, 계몽가 등 여러 가지 다방면으로 활동하면서 국권을 회복하기위한 독립운동을 전개하였다. 이러한 그의 노력 중에서 가장 두드러진 공로는 바로 백산상회와 백산무역주식회사의 설립을 통한 체계적 기업활동과 독립자금의 조달이라 할 수있다. 백산 선생의 기업활동과 독립활동은 끊임없는 도전과 개척정신의 발로이다. 특히, 그는 믿음과 신뢰를 가장 중요시 여겼으며, 인재양성을 가장 중요시 여겼다. 이러한 그의기업가정신은 오늘날 굴지의 대기업을 이룬 삼성 이병철 회장, LG 구인회 회장, 효성 조홍제 회장 등의 기업가정신의 형성과 기업활동에 가장 큰 영향을 미쳤다고 볼 수 있다. 백산 선생을 포함하여 이들 기업가들이 갖는 공통적인 기업가정신의 특징은 사업보국이나 국리민복과 기업의 사회적 공헌이다. 이들의 기업가정신은 오늘날 대한민국을 대표하는 기업가정신(K-기업가정신)으로 자리매김하고 있다.
Abstract
Baeksan Ahn Hee-je was born into a prestigious noble family in Uiryeong, the hometown of patriotic loyalty. His family took the lead in loyalty and national salvation movements when the country was in difficult times. His ancestor, Ahn Ki-jong, made a great contribution by raising a volunteer army during the Japanese invasions of Korea, and Ahn Hee-je and his brothers took the lead in the independence movement in many ways, resisting the Japanese invasion in the late Joseon Dynasty. In order to raise independence funds for the Provisional Government of Shanghai, Ahn Hee-je established the Baeksan Commerce and expanded it further to establish Baeksan Trading Co., Ltd. and invited many rich people from the Yeongnam region to participate. Baeksan emphasized the importance of education and created several educational organizations to promote independence through national education. His efforts for the independence movement led to national media activities and antiJapanese movements through Donga Ilbo and Joongoe Ilbo. He also tried to promote national spirit through the religion of national unity. He can be said to have carried out an independence movement to restore national sovereignty while working in various fields, including as an entrepreneur, educator, journalist, and enlightener. Among his efforts, his most notable contribution can be said to be systematic business activities and the procurement of independent funds through the establishment of Baeksan Trading Co., Ltd. Baeksan’s corporate and independent activities are a manifestation of his constant challenge and pioneering spirit. In particular, he considered faith and trust to be the most important, and the cultivation of talent as the most important. His entrepreneurship can be seen as having the greatest influence on the formation of the entrepreneurship and business activities of Samsung Chairman Lee Byungcheol, LG Chairman Koo In-hoe, and Hyosung Chairman Cho Hong-je, who have formed leading conglomerates today in Korea. The common entrepreneurship characteristics of these entrepreneurs, including Baeksan, are patriotism, national welfare, and corporate social contribution. Their spirit has established itself as the entrepreneurship that represents K-Entrepreneurship.
