본 연구는 경남지역 국가연구개발사업을 대상으로 기술사업화 성과에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인을 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 이에 2017년부터 2021년까지 수행된 총 13,133건의 과제를 대상으로 이분형 로지스틱 회귀분석을 통해 연구수행의 주체와 지역, 연구개발 분야와 단계, 과제수행연도 및 연구개발비 등이 사업화 성과에 미치는 영향을 통계적으로 검증하였다. 분석 결과, 연구수행주체는 국공립연구소와 중소기업이, 연구개발분야는 농림수산식품이 상대적으로 높은 사업화 승산을 나타냈다. 또한, 응용연구 및 개발연구 과제가 기초연구 과제에 비해 높은 사업화 가능성을 보였으며, 과제수행연도가 오래될수록 시차효과에 따른 사업화 확률이 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 연구개발비 증가는 사업화 발생 확률에 통계적으로 유의하였으나, 영향을 크게 미치지는 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 경남 지역의 특성을 반영한 기술사업화 전략 수립 및 실행에 유용한 시사점을 제공할 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the main factors affecting technology commercialization performance in the national R&D projects of Gyeongnam region. For this purpose, a dichotomous logistic regression analysis was conducted on a total of 13,133 projects carried out from 2017 to 2021 to statistically verify the effects of research subjects and regions, R&D fields and stages, project execution years, and R&D expenses on commercialization performance. As a result of the analysis, public research institutes and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) showed relatively high commercialization odds, while the agricultural, forestry, fishery, and food sector showed higher commercialization odds. In addition, applied research and development projects showed higher commercialization potential than basic research projects, and the longer the project execution year, the higher the probability of commercialization due to time lag effect. Increases in R&D expenses were statistically significant in influencing commercialization probability, but did not have a large impact. These findings are expected to provide useful implications for establishing and implementing technology commercialization strategies that reflect the characteristics of the Gyeongnam region.
