초록
This study evaluated the effects of neck stretching exercises on voice disorder, neck discomfort, and dysphagia in thyroidectomy patients. A nonequivalent control group, non-synchronized posttest design was used. 61patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma were assigned to either a control group (n=34) or experimental group (n=27) through convenience sampling. The experimental group learned neck stretching exercises before surgery and discharge, and performed them daily. Outcomes were assessed at 2 weeks, 2 months, and 8 months post-surgery. Data were analyzed using χ² and t-tests. Subjective voice impairment was significantly reduced between 2 and 8 months (t=-2.24, p=.029). Neck stretching exercises improved voice symptoms after thyroidectomy. Further research is needed to develop effective nursing interventions.
