Abstract
Restoration with fixed prostheses using implants is a generalized treatment method in partially or fully edentulous patients. In the past, where only the function of the implant prostheses was emphasized, successful osseointegration was just enough to be considered clinically satisfactory. Recently, however, as the patient’s demands have increased, the recovery of function and esthetics similar to the lost natural teeth has become an important issue for implant prostheses restoration. There may be controversy as to whether occlusion of natural teeth can be applied to implants with different morphological, histological, and dynamical characteristics from those of natural teeth. Therefore, this article will investigate the possibility, prerequisites, limitations and solutions of implant occlusion formation similar to natural teeth.
