Pastoral Approach to the Comparison between Islamic and Christian Doctrines and It’s Benefits for Laymen

Abstract

The number of Muslims in korea are rapidly increasing in every years maximum over 500,000 peoples. They are spreading into all of areas of korea societies and their strategies for the mission is getting dexterously and skillfully. Otherwise korea churches has not much intentions to treat or protect it even many of Muslims are permeate into a church. Throughout the marriage, immigrant or refuges they are getting encroacher churches. Many of Laymen don’t know what is Islam, who is Muslim, how they are coming into a church, what is the ultimate goal of them. Because of the insufficiency of the comparative teaching between the Islam and the Christianity and cause of it’s necessity the future of the korea churches are like a man on the top of the foggy mountain. This article is wrote for the basic comparative doctrines for laymen in a church. To do this, we have to know about Islam and Muslims with their‘bible’, the Koran. In particular I would like to emphasize the salvation conceptions between the two religions. They have similarities and differences on salvational concepts. To evangelize the Muslim, we have to use both characters. So I am going to describe the differences and the similarities between two the religions and the benefits from them. This article will be composed as the contents below. In chapter II, I tried to analyse the differences between the two founders, Muhammad and Jesus, according to five kinds of relationships. And in chapter III, in direct consist with chapter II, I described the comparison between the two religions with salvational issues. Also in chapter IV, its benefits are suggested to all Christians including the missionaries in Muslim ministries.
