Abstract
In this paper, I deals with the contents of his confession of his faith, focusing on the contents of Anselmus' Proslogion 2-4. The content of Proslogion 2-4 is an ontological argument in that it proves the existence of God, especially the Christian God, not based on knowledge obtained through sensory experience, but with the attribute of God itself, which is irrelevant to the experiential world. However, I will not deal with his arguments in terms of whether he proves the existence of God to natural persons through arguments of philosophical speculation, whether his arguments are valid, successful, theological or philosophical. Also, I will not deal with various interpretations and views related to Proslogion 2-4. I will call Anselmus' argument as a Post-Ontological Argument in the horizon of faith that Anselmus, who was the head of Beck and bishop of Canterbury, thoroughly confesses his whole human desire for God, the life and truth, in the entire chapter of Proslogion. In my opinion, the proof of the existence of God mentioned by Anselmus may be a argument such as a deduction argument or an induction argument, but the result of this argument is one of the process of a believer praying and meditating to God and expressing faith or theological conviction. In my opinion, the proof of the existence of God mentioned by Anselmus may be a "an argument" such as a deduction argument or an inductive argument. However, even if his ontological arguments are arguments, I will seek that these arguments are, in the end, included in a confession in the process of a believer praying to God, meditating and speaking of faith or theological convictions. To this end, I will analyze 1) the contents of the confession that God, who is the life realized by praying and meditating to find and know what God has shown to him, exists in both intellect and reality. 2) Then I will try to find out what the definition of the concept of God that he defined is a Post-Ontological Argument, not a method of proof, and what he believed he has achieved through 1). Furthermore, we will examine how the faith that seeks understanding, that is, the whole desire for God, is revealed in Anselmus' Proslogion through the way of confessing God who is the life and truth.
