초록

The structural design of large-scale wind turbine blades is inherently complex due to their composite material configuration and geometric scale. Conventional finite-element (FE) methods have been widely adopted for blade modeling and analysis; however, such approaches demand considerable computational resources and extended processing time. Furthermore, the multitude of design parameters involved often impedes systematic parametric investigations, thereby limiting efficiency in the early design stages. This study proposes a preliminary analytical framework for the initial structural design of laminated composite wind turbine blades, formulated on the basis of classical lamination theory (CLT). The constitutive relations of composite laminates are employed to derive an analytical design methodology, which is subsequently benchmarked against a three-dimensional FE blade model. Comparative results demonstrate strong correlation between the analytical predictions and FE simulations, validating the effectiveness of the proposed approach. The presented design scheme provides a rigorous yet computationally efficient foundation for early-stage blade development. It enables simplified modeling, facilitates flexible design modifications across diverse case studies, and significantly reduces computational effort relative to conventional FE-based methods. Consequently, the proposed methodology offers a practical tool for accelerating the preliminary design process of large composite wind turbine blades while maintaining structural reliability.
